Please be aware that our Constitution does stipulate the make-up of the Committee, so this needs to be considered when selecting committee members. This criteria can be found on Page V of the Gifted WA Constitution (section 10:1B). The Gifted WA Committee has an online meeting once a month, so members in both metro and regional areas of WA are welcome to nominate. Members who nominate and are not selected for the Committee are encouraged to participate in the running of Gifted WA through our sub-committees.
* Gifted WA Committee consists of the following positions:
(a) a Chairperson
(b) a Vice-Chairperson
(c) a Secretary
(d) a Treasurer
(e) General Committee Members (5)
The AGM will be preceded by the Kylie Bice's presentation that will commence at 5:30pm.
Have you ever wondered why you are not seeing the ability of a gifted child in your class, or are frustrated with students who do not seem to be fulfilling their potential?
Kylie Bice, from Growing Up Greatness, will be presenting this professional learning event, designed for classroom teachers, school leaders and parents who are looking to better understand the profile of gifted underachievers, including key reasons for underachievement and strategies that schools can implement to turn this around.
Kind regards,
Gifted WA Secretary
